This wireless motion sensor system is designed to enhance the safety and monitoring of patients, providing caregivers with a reliable way to stay informed when a patient moves or attempts to leave their bed.

To monitor someone getting out of bed, position the motion sensor on the floor at the headboard end of the bed, facing towards the foot of the bed. When the patient swings their feet over the side and they are about 12 inches (30 cm) from the floor, the sensor detects the movement and sends a wireless signal to the caregiver’s pager.

The setup includes two key components: the motion sensor and the pager. Here's a summary of its key features:

• Range: The motion sensor can send alerts to the pager within a 90 meters (300 feet) range, so caregivers can be alerted regardless of where they are in the building or home.

• Motion Detection: Placed at floor level at the headboard end of the bed, the motion sensor detects when the patient’s feet are about 12 inches (30 cm) from the floor. This triggers a wireless signal to the pager, notifying the caregiver.

• Additional Uses: The sensor can also be used across doorways to monitor when someone enters or exits a room, house, or building.

• Alert Options: The caregiver can choose between a chime or a brief tune to alert them when the pager receives a signal.

• Silent Operation: The motion sensor itself remains silent to avoid disturbing the patient.

• Power Supply: The motion sensor uses 3 AA batteries, while the pager uses 2 AA batteries. An optional AC adapter is available for powering the motion sensor, reducing battery replacement costs over time.

• Battery Backup: It’s recommended to always keep batteries in the system as a backup in case the AC adapter fails or there's a power outage.

• Warranty: The system comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty.

• No Internet Required: The system works independently without needing internet or any other wireless connection.

This setup provides both flexibility and peace of mind to caregivers by offering wireless alerts and reducing the need for constant monitoring in person.

Delia- It allows a great deal of flexibility for the carer to be out of the room while allowing the person being cared for to sleep and as soon as they move you are notified by the alarm. The important part is it gives a level of freedom not available by using call alarms as with the best will in the world its not always easy to remember to press it whereas this removes that need.
