Complete Bed Exit Alarm System with Corded Sensor Pad

    Ideal for Monitoring Patient Movement

This complete package includes a high-quality corded bed sensor pad and alarm unit, designed to alert carers immediately when a patient attempts to get up from bed. The alarm sounds the moment the patient lifts their weight off the pad—providing a simple yet effective way to enhance patient safety and support care routines.

    Important Note About Alarm Location

PLEASE NOTE: This alarm system is designed to sound in the same room as the patient.

If you are looking for a system where the alarm is silent in the patient's room but alerts the carer elsewhere, please click here for our wireless system.

    Durable and Comfortable Sensor Pad

    • Size: 10" x 30" (25cm x 76cm) OR 20' x 30'' (50cm x 76cm)

    • Material: Soft, cushioned vinyl

    • Features: Incontinence-resistant and easy to wipe clean

For lightweight patients (under 10 stone or 140 lbs), we recommend selecting the larger pad (20" x 30" / 50cm x 76cm) from the dropdown menu. A larger pad ensures more body contact and even weight distribution, helping prevent false alarms.

    How the System Works

    1. Placement: The sensor pad should be positioned under the fitted sheet, ideally under the patient's lower back or buttocks.

    2. Setup: The pad's cord runs along the side of the mattress and plugs into the compact alarm unit.

    3. Mounting: The alarm unit can be hung from the bed frame, placed on a bedside table, or mounted on a wall.

    4. Activation: When the patient begins to get up and lifts their weight off the pad, the alarm will sound immediately in the room.

    Resetting the Alarm

To silence the alarm, the carer simply presses the Reset button on the front of the alarm unit. If the patient returns to the bed and sits back down on the pad, the system will reset itself and remain ready for future use.

    Optional AC Adapter:

You can choose to add an AC adapter for the alarm when placing your order (available in the drop-down menu). This adapter powers the alarm but does not charge it. We recommend keeping batteries in the alarm as a backup in case of power loss. The AC adapter helps reduce the long-term cost of battery replacements.

    Warranty:

    • 1-year manufacturer’s warranty on both the bed pad and alarm.

No Internet or Additional Setup Needed:

    • This system operates independently, no internet or external wireless connection required.

Mary- ''Excellent product, found it worked perfect for our needs. Sensitivity is as good as when first purchased, still on the original batteries too. I had looked at similar mats that were a lot more expensive but this has proved to be a real 'Ronseal' product...ie does exactly as promised.''

Birdie- ''My mum is 87 years of age and since January this year has suffered a broken hip, a subdural haematoma and a broken nose due to poor balance and disorientation when getting in the night. Obviously this could not continue, I was advised to get a sensor mat, whilst looking this product up I came across the bed exit alarm system which alerts the carer of the patient's intention of getting out of bed. It has been a godsend for me, and I have no reservations in recommending this product to anyone concerned for their patient or relative. I now manage to sleep better between calls. It is easy to use and the alert is loud enough for me even on low. An excellent product.''
