Wireless Bed Exit Alarm System for Elderly and Dementia Care
Ideal for caring for elderly or infirm individuals, or those with dementia or Alzheimer's. This wireless bed exit alarm system notifies the carer without disturbing the patient. The alarm sound is heard by the caregiver, but not by the patient, avoiding confusion or distress. The caregiver can hear the alert from up to 90 meters (300 feet) away, even from other rooms or the garden. (Always test distance before use.)

Place the sensor pad under the fitted sheet so that when the patient sits up to exit the bed, the alarm alerts the caregiver. If the patient frequently sits up during the night but stays in bed, you can place the bed pad underneath their bottom area. The pad will then alert you when their full weight is no longer on it, indicating that they have got out of bed.
The bed sensor pad measures 10" x 30" (25cm x 76cm), is resistant to incontinence, and features a foam interior for added patient comfort. For lighter patients (under 10 stone or 140 pounds), a larger pad measuring 20" x 30" (50cm x 76cm) is recommended. Using the smaller pad with lightweight patients may result in false alarms, as there may not be enough weight on the pad to trigger the alarm. The larger pad provides a bigger surface area, ensuring more of the patient is in contact with the sensor. You can choose your preferred size from the drop-down menu.
Optional AC Adapter:
- Available for powering the alarm (select from drop-down menu when ordering).
- The adapter powers the alarm when plugged in but doesn’t charge the batteries.
- We recommend keeping batteries as a backup in case of a power cut.
