The Dual Alarm offers two types of exit alarm in one! This package includes the dual alarm which features a pull string/magnet alarm,plus a long term bed sensor pad, so you can monitor both the bed and chair with one alarm. Record your own 15 second message to play when your patient tries to get up!

The bed sensor pad measures 10'' x 30'' (25cm x 76cm) it's incontinence resistant and features a foam interior for patient comfort. For patients who are light weight (under 10 stone, 140 pounds) they will benefit from one of our larger pads which is 20'' x 30'' (50cm x 76cm). Sometimes using our smaller pad with a light weight patient can create false alarms as there is not enough weight distributed onto the pad which is needed to trigger the alarm. The larger pad has a larger surface area so there is more of the patient on the pad. Select from the drop down menu which package you would prefer.

When your patient is in the bed, you connect the bed pad to the dual alarm. Place the bed pad under the lower sheet in the patient's middle back area. Then when they try to stand, the alert or your recorded message will sound. To silence the alert, simply press the reset button on the front of the alarm, or if the patient sits back onto the pad, the system re-sets itself ready for the next time.

When your patient is in their chair, simply place the alarm on the back of the chair. Attach the magnet string to the alarm, and clip the other end of the magnet string to the patient's clothing, usually in the back shoulder area. When your patient starts to lean forward with the intention of getting up, the magnet will be pulled from the alarm and the alert will sound. To silence the alert, simply press the reset or reapply the magnet to the alarm monitor.

This alarm also has the option for you to record a 15 second message which will be played in the place of the alert. You can record a message such as 'Please sit back down, I'll be there in a minute'.

Note: this alarm will sound in the room with the patient. If you want the alarm noise out of the patient's room, look at our wireless bed or chair alarm option.

Both alarm and bed sensor pad carry a one year manufacturer's warranty.

Alarm requires three 'AA' batteries (not included)

As an Additional Option, you can order an AC Adapter to power your alarm (select in the drop down menu when ordering) The AC Adapter is a power lead for the alarm monitor, the lead does not charge the monitor. We recommend you always keep batteries in your alarm as a back-up to your AC adapter in case you lose power and are not aware.  Some customers use the AC adapter at night and batteries only during the day. And by using the AC adapter, you will cut down on the replacement cost of the batteries over time.
