Motion Sensor (Sensor Only – Alarm Monitor Not Included)

This product includes only the motion sensor. To function, it must be paired with a compatible wireless alarm monitor or connected to an existing nurse call system using the appropriate accessories.

Compatibility

• Can be programmed to work with most wireless alarm monitors (not limited to Austin Medical monitors)

• Can also be integrated into an existing nurse call system
  (Requires a 433-EC alarm monitor and a compatible nurse call lead)

How It Works

The motion sensor detects movement and sends a wireless signal to a connected alarm monitor or nurse call system. This allows caregivers to be alerted to movement such as:

Monitoring Bed Exit

• Placement: On the floor, at the headboard end, facing the foot of the bed

• Function: When a patient’s legs come over the side of the bed, the sensor detects the movement and sends an alert

Monitoring Room or Door Entry/Exit

• Placement: On the door frame (side or top)

• Function: When someone passes through the doorway, the sensor activates and sends a signal to the alert system

Range and Usage Notes

• Signal range: Up to 90 meters (300 feet)

• Always test the signal range thoroughly before use to ensure reliable communication between the sensor and monitor

Additional Requirements (If Used with Nurse Call System)

If integrating with a nurse call system, you will also need:

• A 433-EC alarm monitor (available on our website)

• A nurse call lead (selectable from the dropdown menu in the product listing)
