Bed Sensor Pad Specifications

• Size: 10" x 30" (25 cm x 76 cm)  OR  20'' x 30'' (50 cm x 76 cm)

• Material: Incontinence-resistant vinyl with a soft foam interior

Note for Lightweight Patients:
Patients under 140 lbs / 10 stone may benefit from the larger pad (20" x 30"), which helps distribute their weight more evenly and reduces the chance of false alarms. Select your preferred pad size from the dropdown menu at checkout.

How the System Works

• Bed Setup:
  Place the sensor pad under the fitted sheet, beneath the patient’s shoulder blades or bottom area. The pad cord runs discreetly along the mattress edge and plugs into the alarm monitor, which can be placed on a headboard, wall, or bedside table.

• Chair Setup:
  The chair pad sits directly on the seat. For a more discreet setup, you can place it inside a pillowcase. The cord connects to the monitor, which can be positioned behind or near the chair.
  

• Alarm Activation:
  When the patient starts to get out of bed and takes their pressure of the bed pad or begins to stand from the chair, the alarm will sound, letting you know they may need assistance. 

Alarm Features

• Reset Button: Silences the alarm manually

• Auto-Reset: Alarm stops automatically if the patient returns to a seated or lying position on the pad

• Location: Alarm sounds in the same room as the patient

Zanya- Wonderful. My husband has had a stroke and forgets he can't walk unaided. He keeps trying to get out of bed during the middle of the night and during his afternoon nap but the alarm sounds as soon as he sits up and removes pressure from the pad (I place it under his shoulders,) and someone can get to his side before he puts any weight on his feet. We don't use the chair pad quite as much because someone is usually sitting with him when he is in his armchair, but it also is very effective.
