This complete system (silent alarm monitor, sensor pad and pager) allows the carer to carry a pager that alerts them when the patient gets up from the bed. Package includes long term bed sensor pad, a high grade monitor with no alarm noise in patient's room (3 x AA batteries required but not included), and a wireless pager with an approximate range of 300’ (90 meters) requires 2 x AA batteries.
The bed sensor pad measures 10'' x 30'' (25cm x 76cm) is incontinence resistant and features a foam interior for patient comfort. For patients who are light weight (under 10 stone, 140 pounds) they will benefit from one of our larger pads which is 20'' x 30'' (50cm x 76cm). Sometimes using our smaller pad with a light weight patient can create false alarms as there is not enough weight distributed onto the pad which is needed to trigger the alarm. The larger pad has a larger surface area so there is more of the patient on the pad. Select from the drop down menu which package you would prefer.
The Carer pager features:
- Adjustable volume
- Can be set to vibrate only option (great for carers who are hard of hearing)
- A visual alert indicator
- Can be up to 90 Meters (approx. 300 feet) from the bed pad.
The alarm attaches to the sensor pad sounding two quick beeps when weight is first applied to the pad, showing the system is active.
Bed pad is placed under the lower sheet in either the middle or lower back area, or under the patients bottom. The alert, triggered when weight is removed from the pad and will only sound at the pager.
The alarm volume is set to silent before shipping, but can be adjusted in the battery compartment if you would prefer the alarm to sound in the patient’s room if required.
To silence the alert, simply turn off the pager, or press the reset button on the front of the alarm.
Alarm monitor, bed sensor pad and carer pager all comes with a one year manufacturers warranty.
This system does not require an internet or other wireless connection to work. But is an independent wireless system which is programmed to work one to one and requires no additional items
